We start with 100% natural, whole food ingredients that are free from pesticides or herbicides. We take these fresh foods and reduce them into a concentrated whole-food paste. All parts of food offer benefits and so we leave nothing out: in goes the pulp, zest, pips and everything. The food we use depends on the nutrient we wish to grow. For example, we choose citrus fruits for Vitamin C or carrot concentrate for Beta Carotene.
We then gently feed and enrich the whole food concentrate with the optimum amount of added vitamins and minerals. The food then metabolises the added vitamins and minerals, binding them to their co-factors (including flavonoids, enzymes, amino acids and trace minerals) and boosting the food’s original vitamin and mineral content.
The metabolisation is left to happen at its natural rate, taking up to 72 hours. Afterwards the added vitamins and minerals have become part of the food and are indistinguishable from the food’s naturally-occurring vitamins and minerals.
The mineral or vitamin food concentrate is then thoroughly washed up to 7 times with purified water before being dried with filtered air—no solvents in sight—ready for encapsulation. Nothing else is added—no fillers, binders or preservatives—leaving us with only the nutrient-rich food concentrate.
Finally, the nutrient-enriched food is dried with filtered air, becoming a powder form ready for encapsulation. We test each and every batch to confirm there is no trace of toxic metals, pesticides or herbicides both at the beginning and end of the process.
Throughout this entire process, no temperatures above 32.5 degrees celsius are used, ensuring that the co-factors are kept intact. As a result, our finished WholeVit™ product is classified as ‘raw’, nutrient-rich food.
