Stress aid complex contains specific B vitamins to support the body as well as adaptogenic herbs including Whole Root Ashwagandha.  As a maintenance regime for stress support, we recommend the Stress Aid Complex. For more stressful periods we recommend 2 capsules of Stress Aid Complex.  If you require a full range of B vitamins at a higher level than found in Stress Aid Complex and are not interested in adaptogenic herbs Schizandra and Rhodiola, we recommend taking the B Complex and Whole Root Ashwagandha (higher level of powder than 2 capsules of Stress Aid Complex) together.

Vegan Vitamin D3

Multibiotic Fermented Food

  • Is Multibiotic Vegan?

Some of the 'mother' strains of the bacteria we use in our Multibiotic product were originally isolated from milk many decades ago. However, representatives of these original strains are stored in microbiology banks and merely used as DNA templates. New colonies of these 'banked' strains are then cultured (fermented) under laboratory conditions. No milk or animal products are used in the fermentation or any other process. Our Multibiotic product is certified Vegan by The Vegetarian Society.

  • What is the purpose of the fermented fruits and veg?

Fermented foods are foods that have been through a process of lactofermentation in which natural bacteria feed on the sugar and starch in the food creating lactic acid. This process preserves the food, and creates beneficial enzymes, b-vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids, and various strains of live cultures.

  • Which strains of bacteria are used in Multibiotic and why have these been selected?

We have selected a blend of strains that help provide and maintain a wide selection of beneficial bacteria to keep our microbiome healthy. There are a total of 11 strains that are cultured in fermented fruit and veg including Aspergillus oryzae AO686, Saccharomyces cerevisiae SC069, Lactobacillus acidophilus LA107, Lactococcus lactis subsp. Lactis LL362, Lactobacillus plantarum subsp.plantarum LP168, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp.lactis BLA281, Bifidobacterium bifidum BB223, Bifidobacterium longum BL268, Pediococcus pentosaceus PP359, Pediococcus acidilactici PA305, Acetobacter aceti AAC270.We then add the following further 5 strains to the fermented fruit and veg including Bifidobacterium lactis BS01, Lactobacillus acidophilus LA02, Lactobacillus plantarum LP01, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Bacillus Coagulans LMG 6326. We also include two prebiotics; Isomalto-oligosaccharide and Inulin.

Joint Aid Herbal Complex

  • Most joint products use glucosamine and chondroitin, why doesn't this one?

Most studies show that glucosamine and chondroitin achieve modest to no improvement compared with placebo in either pain relief or joint damage. Glucosamine is often made from shellfish, which is not-vegetarian and a potential source of heavy metal contamination. Chondroitin is often made from cow cartilage or manufactured in a laboratory. We prefer to use natural sources for our ingredients with proven health benefits based on multiple scientific studies.

Bio Coenzyme Q10

  • What is the form of CoQ10 in Bio-coq10 and is it the most effective form?

The form of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in our product is ubiquinone. The following explains the difference and quality of two forms ubiquinone and ubiquinol.

CoQ10 supplements can either be in the oxidized form (ubiquinone) or the reduced form (ubiquinol). CoQ10 changes between these two forms within the body depending on the cell's oxidative state. So for example in it's reduced form (ubiquinol) C0Q10 is highly unstable in the contents of the stomach and is converted to the oxidized form of CoQ10 (ubiquinone) before absorption. There have been many more clinical studies undertaken on ubiquinone than ubiquinol. The wealth of studies that have shown the efficacy and safety of CoQ10 are when it is in it's oxidized form as ubiquinone.  Of the studies conducted that directly compare the two forms, none have shown a significant difference regarding absorption or effectiveness between the two forms. Consequently, taking ubiquinol as a nutrient is essentially the same as taking the more stable and less expensive oxidized form that Together use, ubiquinone.

Also, without the addition of a lipid carrier molecule to facilitate the absorption of CoQ10,  it is poorly absorbed. That is why we produce ours in a base of Coconut Oil. Piperine is then added as it has been shown to increase absorption of CoQ10 by 30%.

Marine Magnesium

Algae Omega 3

  • Why do the softgels look cloudy / milky?
Algae oil is a natural product that may vary in colour, smell and taste depending on the batch. It may happen that algae oil can become cloudy and flaky, also known as turbidity. The haze is a subjective visual impression caused by small, naturally occurring particles in the oil. However, this is not a sign of quality loss but just a natural cycle. Its cause lies in the fact that the natural ingredients of the oil become visible as a function of the batch and temperature and the oil therefore looks cloudy and flaky. In terms of health, however, this turbidity is safe and, moreover, does not diminish the quality of algae oil (the turbidity of the algae oil can be compared with the crystallisation of honey).
The temperature is not the cause of the issue, but, as mentioned above it can exacerbate the issue when the softgels have become colder than normal room temperature.
  • What is the algae fed to make the omega 3?

Algae have the ability to conduct photosynthesis, this means they eat sunlight and Co2. However, they also need minerals, nitrogen and other compounds naturally present in the pure filtered water which the algae is grown in.

  • How is the algae digested in comparison to fish?

Studies have found that using our algae oil lowers triacylglycerol levels as effectively as fish oil does, indicated an effective absorption rate.

  • Can people with autoimmune problems take your algae?

We have no previous reports of any issues experienced by customers with autoimmune problems. Our products are allergen free and are extracted without the use of chemicals.

  • Does Together's Omega 3 contain vitamin A?

There is no vitamin A in this product.

  • Do this Algae Omega 3 contain hexane?

Vitamin D3

  • What are metabolites in Vitamin D3?

When the sun shines on our skin, metabolites are created in our bodies to ensure that the sunlight is converted to Vitamin D. Unlike most other non-food-based forms of Vitamin D, which do not include these metabolites, our Vitamin D capsules already have this covered. This means they effectively latch on to Vitamin D receptors in the body and help our bodies to absorb this vitamin more efficiently and deliver it to the right places.

Men's Multi Vit

General Multi

  • What is the difference between this general multivitamin and the women's or men's multivitamin?

Our multivitamin for women includes higher levels of nutrients specifically to support the female body, including iron, biotin, chromium, copper and magnesium. Our men's multivitamin supplement supports the male body with higher levels of B vitamins, zinc, selenium and magnesium. Having separate supplements ensures that all of our customers can get the best possible benefit from our products.

  • Why does your Multi-Vitamin complex not have any calcium in it?

We don't include calcium in our multivitamin because not all of our customers require extra calcium. Those who have a diet including dairy and other calcium sources have sufficient levels already. If you would like a calcium supplement, we offer this as a standalone product that can be taken alongside the Multivitamin.
